Over the weekend, I drove over to check out the new Lorain High School. It’s quite beautiful; it’s hard to believe that it’s done and open.
It doesn’t seem that long ago that the view from W. 26th Street looked like this (below). Actually, it was May 2012.

I drove over to the other side of the building later in the day for some photos as well.
I can’t express just how impressed I am with the design of the buildings. They’re stunningly modern and attractive, yet timeless as well.
I’ve got to admit – as unhappy as I was when Admiral King High School was torn down, I’m now excited for the students to attend such a first-class facility. Surroundings do matter, and I can’t help but think that this school will help inspire its students – and perhaps Lorain’s civic leaders as well.
