The Passing Scene comics from the Lorain
Journal that I ran across recently while researching Kline's Department Store

This one (
below) ran on Saturday, January 4, 1975. It's interesting that calculators were just making their appearance in schools at that time.
This one (below) ran on Saturday, January 18, 1975 and features a few of Gene's funny caricatures, including one of Ohio Governor Jim Rhodes.
As you can see, tax cuts were a big issue back then as well as now.
