There seems to have been a couple of proposals that had that objective. Your write up on 254 got me thinking abou...Hey Dan,<br />Your write up on 254 got me thinking about a couple of old maps I have from the '60s that showed a proposed freeway named 254 cutting through the east side. It paralleled Colorado ave but stopped at the Black river. Do you remember that? I always wondered why the planners originally proposed the route through a densely populated area. In hindsight, it may have been good for Lorain to have a freeway cut through town. But maybe not, it would have disrupted a lot of families.
