Vermilion in Post Cards – Part 3: Around Town and the River

Like many cities, Vermilion’s downtown area has been featured on many postcards.

Division Street was later renamed Main Street

A city's bridges, train station, parks, high school and public library are typical postcard subjects, and Vermilion has been well-represented through the years.

Vermilion is a nautical town, and perhaps it is easiest to find postcards with scenes related to boating and fishing.

And of course the Vermilion Lagoons have been a popular postcard subject.

Dan, Thanks for posting all the great post cards. Many views and things I never knew existed in Vermilion. They are certainly lost treasures of the past.
